We are seeking two exceptional candidates for the position of Customs brokerage Specialist.
The office location is in Dubai.
We are looking for a person who is customer-focused and wants to join us on this journey while managing daily operational chores and client inquiries. Customs clearance for cross-border shipments transported by truck, rail, air, and ocean is managed by a customs brokerage specialist. A customs brokerage specialist will speak with freight forwarders, vendors, and sellers to prepare shipments and documents. They will also keep track of the status of shipments’ clearances and escalate problems as needed. Additionally, the Brokerage Specialist enters data for entry filing, classifications, and inspection-related delivery-form preparation, tracking, and compliance needs. Key Responsibilities
• Verify completeness of information upon onboarding Customers
• Prepare import documentation to ensure timely release and delivery of orders
• Verify accuracy of commercial documentation and charges
• Submit documentation to regulatory agencies
• Meet daily/weekly KPI targets for entry submission and accuracy
• Collaborate with other service providers to solve shipment issues
• Collaborate with origin and destination logistics teams
• 2nd Tier support for Customer Service queries
We are looking for
• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Transportation, Business or Supply Chain.
• Experience including International Logistics, Cross-Border Transportation and Supply Chain, or US Customs rules and regulations
• 1+ year as a Licensed Customs Broker or has Customs experience with a willingness to taking the Customs Brokerage or Certificate (CCS) license exam
• Ability to read and understand the regulatory language and troubleshoot basic Customs entry issues (ABI, ACE related, AMS)
• Understanding of what resources to use and when to use them (CROSS, HTS, internal databases)
